Michelle Kwan Will Not Compete This Season

Michelle Kwan is considered a figure skating legend and is the most decorated figure skater in U.S. history.
She has announced that she will not compete in 2006--07. She will take a year off from competing and attend the University of Denver as a full-time student. She plans to major in political science.
She also will continue to skate in exhibitions. After the year off from competitive skating, she will decide if she wishes to compete again.
I think Michelle does deserve a break! What are your thoughts?

Oh my god! I saw her on the Kraft salad commercial, she’s so beautiful and graceful and button-cute!
I wrote her name when I saw it but kept forgetting to look it up, now I don’t have to.
I think it’s great she’s pursuing her education, the mind is more important than the body after all, and I’m sure she’ll still keep it up casually, maybe do some land-dancing.
