Here's How:
Start by doing a forward extended one-foot glide.
Bend the free leg slightly.
Raise the free leg and hip.
Turn the free hip out.
Add an arm movement.
Tips:
Keep the head up.
Make sure that the hips and shoulders are lined up and are pointed straight ahead.
Ballet training will help a figure skater do a good Attitude on the ice.
Don't allow the free leg's knee to turn in or touch the skating leg.
Arms movements compliment an Attitude. A popular way to use the arms is to hold one arm slighly curved above the head and to hold the other arm out to the side.
What You Need:
- Before doing an Attitude a skater should be able to do a strong one foot glide.
